We really had no idea how to organize our trip to try and see and enjoy as much as possible during our 8 day visit. Once we finally arrived in Coniston, Phil met us and set us up on our e-bikes (some of the best we have ever ridden) and provided very detailed information on our planned cycle routes, the scenic highlights and lovely pubs for breaks along the way. Although there are not many dedicated cycle paths in the Lake District, Phil designed routes for us on very quiet roads with very little traffic as per our request. And the e-bikes handled the challenging hills very nicely. Phil chose great accommodations for us as well and made some perfect recommendations on where to have dinner. While we were cycling, Phil was always available to handle any issues or questions we had. He even helped us plan a hike one day when it was not ideal for cycling!
