The minimum legal age to ride an electric bike under UK law is 14 years of age. We require riders under the age of 18 to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children travelling in a child bike trailer need to be at least 1 year of age. Children on Tag-A-Long bikes need to be between 4 and 8 years of age. Child bike seats are suitable for children from 1 to 4 years of age.
Electric bikes are like standard bikes with the added support of a motor and battery. The motor is activated when the rider pedals, therefore, the rider does still need to pedal but with an added boost from the motor to make the ride easier. Our Cube Touring Electric Bikes come with the choice of 4 power settings, so the rider can choose how much assistance to use. Our bikes come with sturdy German engineered components and powerful Bosch powered motors and batteries. The display unit is mounted centrally on the handlebars, which shows you your speed, which of the 4 power modes you are using and all the battery information you will need for a relaxing ride.
E-Bike Safari’s current fleet of Bosch powered Touring E-Bikes can travel over 100 miles without re-charging, depending on the amount of assistance you require from the battery. This will normally be plenty for day trips, but if you did go for an extremely long and challenging ride, it is possible to charge your battery on route, at a café or any other location with an electric socket.
