E Bike Hire Lake District

Firstly, we want to say a big and heartfelt thank you to Phil and E-Bike Safaris for his patient, comprehensive, and exceptionally attentive tour management.

From the moment we made our first enquiry, it was clear that we were in good hands. This was our first Lake District bike hire experience and first-time riding e bikes. After spending two incredible days exploring the area with Phil’s help, we can confidently say that we will absolutely be using his service again, to explore more of his Lake District cycling routes.

Phil picked us up, guided us through how to use the e-bikes, and talked us through the bike routes at a pace that felt relaxed and enjoyable. Knowing that he was available to contact at any time gave us such peace of mind, especially as first-timers. What truly set the experience apart was how Phil went above and beyond, pointing out hidden gems, scenic viewpoints, and even introducing us to some lovely local cafés and pubs along the way. These little touches added so much charm to the weekend and made the adventure feel both personalised and memorable.

Our adventure began on the first day with crossing Lake Windermere on the cable ferry, and cycling the lovely trails and lanes in the Hawkshead area. We then explored the stunning Grizedale Forest cycle trails, which was great fun and capped with the most stunning views of Coniston and its surrounding mountains.

On the second day, we set off cycling along Lake Windermere and through Great Langdale Valley, and once again we were amazed by the sheer variety of scenery across the different e bike routes.

One moment we were weaving through peaceful woodland paths, and the next we were riding alongside vast open waters with panoramic views of the surrounding fells. Each turn revealed something new and beautiful, which only deepened our appreciation for the Lake District’s extraordinary landscapes.

For anyone considering Lake District bike hire or cycling holidays, we can’t recommend E-Bike Safaris highly enough. Phil’s knowledge of the area, combined with his warm and attentive approach, makes the entire experience enjoyable, stress-free, and genuinely unforgettable.

That perfectly captures how our trip felt—dreamlike, familiar, and full of delightful surprises.
